Chlorine spikes will bleach vinyl over time
Plastics in constant contact with high chlorine will become brittle and prone to snapping
Flexpipe, multiports, waste pipes that work under pressure can start to leak and corrode motor casings, metal clamps and leave hazardous stains.
Low levels won't be able to sanitize all the water, leaving you with a dull, vulnerable pool.
